Our International Link with Jamal Public School

Jamal Public School celebrate winning the International School Award

Jamal Public School has won the International school award.

The ceremony was held at the local Hotel. The country Head of the British Council Pakistan, Miss Rose Marry, was the chief guest. Below are some of the pictures from the event. She was very pleased to see the articles you sent by Killinghall in our "Culture in a box" exchange.

The children in Pakistan have been busy making Mother's Day cards and have shared some photographs that they have made.

We are also undertaking a 'Culture in a Box' project with the school and will soon be receiving a box from Pakistan, which will show the culture of the school and their local area.  Year 3 are also preparing a box to send to Pakistan to show our school's culture along with the British culture.

Culture Box Exchange

We are exchanging 'Culture Boxes' and have now got our box ready to send over to our new friends at Jamal Public School.  These are the contents of our 'Culture Box' and we hope that the children in Pakistan enjoy them and learn a lot about what makes us proud to be at Killinghall Primary school and living in Yorkshire, England.

The children were so excited to open the 'Culture Box' from Pakistan and loved looking at all the wonderful gifts inside.  All the children would like to thank everyone at Jamal Public School for such wonderful gifts.  They will soon be on display in the school to share with everyone.
